An Invocation for Memorial Day

I will stand on a dais this afternoon, in a part of my state that hosts a Navy base, the Coast Guard Academy, and a National Guard training site, surrounded by assorted uniforms, and offer the self-composed prayer below just after a “fly-by” of military jets.
